My girlfriend was born the February after Nevermind. Makes for some awkward cultural conversations.

Had already left France and been in the Corps several many years. Was almost 30. And I still listen to it today.

Was finishing my last year in college and working my way through the last of the female student staff at the college of extended studies. I was employed at the college as a part time as a courier; best fucking job I ever had. I had unlimited access to a Toyota land cruiser, a Small japanese courier van, a cell phone, and gas card.

My two female bosses were completely clueless on how long or demanding my job was. What they thought took me eight hours, I had finished in three. Spent the rest of my paid free hours bedding the student staff in the ample sized luggage area of the Toyota and trying to destroy the japanese mini van. Not to mention, borrowing the Toyota for weekend hunting trips in the next state over, and a very memorable trip to Ensenada Mexico.

I should have been paying them for all the pussy, free gas, and great laughs. 1991 was an excellent year. Used to play that tape while making deliveries.

Last year of college. Drunk off my ass in McHebes Depot the first time I heard it.

Saw Nirvana play at the Evergreen dorms...thought they sucked..three years later I'm framing houses in Seattle and the laborers are playing it all day. No Mudhoney but they'll do.

I was a year and 9 months(EDIT/Correction) out of the Marine Corps, working as a hotel doorman at a Manhattan 3 star and working part-time doing plain clothes security for big name music acts of the day in NY, NJ and sometimes Philly. The Dead, The Stones, New Kids, Madonna, McCartney, Joel, Aerosmith, ect.....oh, and how can I almost forget those little rappers Kris Kross. "JUMP JUMP!"
