Gloves

Everyone knows it`s ghey to use gloves when training,but is it ok for a drummer to use them?
Just watched a Gojira video and the drummer uses gloves.

I've been listening to the new Gojira album every day now. Never really got into them until now. I don't really like live albums for the most part, but this one is awesome, so much energy.
