Being athletic and not afraid of contact gives her a big leg up in soccer. Good on her.

They don't get paid, lingerie league is no mas this year as well.

An athlete like she is should be playing a sport where she has a chance for some real attention and notoriety.

No women professional FB player plays that because they are elite athletes. The ones that are damn good athletes already are playing sports where they have a chance to earn some real accolades and make some money.

I was a player, so I speak from experience -- it's a lot of fun, and no, we didn't get paid but that wasn't the point.

"Elite" is a word that gets tossed around here far too much. And you know what? I played with some serious caliber athletes who could have been doing other things but played football because they grew up loving it but never got an opportunity to play like the boys did. So maybe you need a bigger polling sample on that point, bubba.

She's clearly good at and likes football now. I was merely commenting that should she want to continue to play in girls and women's leagues, she now has the opportunity to do so-- something that was not true when I was her age.

That's what Mia Hamm did growing up here. She kicked everyone's ass in soccer but also played FB through junior high.

That little girl is fearless, has good vision, and has a knack for running to space. That's going to help her with any field sport she chooses. Good for her.
