Meh. There are no free rides. I'd rather have more wind power, with possible health side effects that can easily be overcome by siting the turbines away from populated area (which is pretty easy in the sparsely populated areas where wind works well anyway), than more coal and gas generation that pollute the air across entire regions.
Ideally we'd see some real headway on nuclear and geothermal.

I've done some wind generation project work. The downsides are they kill birds and...they are ugly.
Bad for your health? No one is even remotely close to coming up with a link.
