Obama won't finish this term. Anybody agree? Why?

It's designed to get the media talking about impeachment, so the GOP can beat the dead horse a bit longer.

Ain't gonna happen...he's an affirmative action hire, and all you can do is hope and pray that they quit, die, or retire early.
If all this had happened under the watch of a white conservative president, the media would have already taken to the streets with pitchforks and torches. But, the old double standard remains, and minorities are not held to the same level of accountability.
He could be caught red handed in a down low, homo thug relationship with Rick Ross, and the liberal media would come out in his defense and there'd be a 2-hour special on MSNBC about how this is normal behavior in the African-American community and is yet another bright shining star in the constellation of the cultural diversity which is our STRENGTH.
Fuck that nigger and his hand picked lawyer cronies.

I don't see impeachment but I see a horse that needs continued beating. His arrogance may be catching up with him. Iraq & Katrina neutered Bush, Benghazi & IRS abuses may do the same for Obama.
That he's the new Nixon meme is starting to gain traction. Isolated...arrogant...enemies...misinformation...misuse of the IRS...there is some "there" there.
Personally, I want to know what exactly he did when our people were being killed in Libya, I suspect that he was resting up for a busy day of campaigning and fund raising in Vegas.

The only people who think he's the new Nixon are people who already hated him. We should be thankful for the right's delusions - they'd be in charge if not for their insanity.

Obama's accomplishments pale compared to Nixon's, especially from a liberal perspective.

I said its a meme that's gaining traction, not that it was what defined him. The first place I saw it was from Joe Klein in Time - not deluded conservatives by any means. Watch what happens now that his justice department tapped the phone conversations of up to 100 AP reporters. His lapdogs are gonna bite.

I've agreed with Turd twice in one day.
I need a drink.
On paper, and without political bias, Nixon kinda kicks the shit out of a lot of presidents in terms of effectiveness.

No shit. You want a left critique of Obama, there are about a million - he is every bit a lesser evil, the GOP just happens to have gone batshit insane enough to make his assault on civil liberties and general weakness more palatable.

Joe Klein - who's a simpering Beltway fool - just pushing that meme hard. Oh... wait, not so much.
I may have swung a bit too hard, putting Barack Obama’s Administration in the same league as Franklin Roosevelt’s and Richard Nixon’s when it comes to the Internal Revenue Service. The situation remains a major embarrassment, though.
The most important difference is that the Roosevelt and Nixon IRS depredations came from the White House. This mess seems to have percolated from the middle–the IRS’s Cincinnati office (a major facility, by the way)–up to the upper-middle. It was an overreaction, to be sure–but, as Ezra Klein explains, it was a response to a very real problem: how do you draw the line between political advocacy, which is a taxable activity, and policy advocacy, which is not, if the advocate organizes itself as a 501(c)4?

FDR and Nixon did not have the same number of dedicated Eichmanns or Barias who don't need to be ordered (directly) to do Obama's bidding or to work in what they perceived to be his and his party's interest.
When you have reporters and upper media management caught multiple times in emails and chat sites talking about how they can make Republicans look bad and make Obama look better, it's not a stretch when die hard libs that are Government workers might be inclined to think the same way. ( I still think there were orders. You don;t have to write them. You tell one subordinate to go speak with someone and keep it off record. All these cocsuckers, from both parties do shit like that. Let's be honest most of us would make sure some of our "enemies" lives became harder if POTUS.)
It's the totality of multiple issues that at the least will lame duck his ass worse than GWB or at best have him draged out of the White House in chains (He's finally really live the Black experience) or in a bag.
Believe me, there are SS dudes who would love him to be impeached and for him to refuse to go. They'd slam him over the desk and cuff him in a heart beat.
If he had 3/4 of the public's support that would be one thing but he's never had more than half. He;s losing more and more every day and that rate I would bet is faster than some will admit too.
Some will always play the "Educated progressive" but privately think "That nigger has to go or he will ruin our whole brand.
You know there are a lot of the Clinton wing that blame him for her being knocked down a few pegs and her chances in'16 not as good as they were.

I enjoy Darth's fantasy that Obama is a stronger President than FDR or Nixon.
I'd like to see the atmosphere if Obama even had a momentary thought bubble about imitating the court packing scheme.

You seriously think that pulling out of Vietnam, engaging China, reducing the threat of nuclear war with the USSR, fully funding public health, being on the right side of history regarding civil liberties and establishing the EPA puts him ahead of giants such as GWB and BHO? Come on, the amount of cash that brought Agnew down wouldn't buy more than a junior Rep in DC in the current market.

Obama's not going anywhere because the GOP doesn't seem to be able to focus on things that really matter. Any criticism of real issues, like failures in the Middle East, infringement of civil liberties and abuses of power are no more than a step removed from what the GWB Administration did. Thus, all they have been able to put together is "born in Nigeria", "doesn't salute the flag", "Muslim" and something about wanting to redistribute the media landscape.

He has a more enthralled press and minions, did not say he was a powerful.
Yeah the court packing worked for FDR and Nixon was a way more effective POTUS but people had a higher standard back then and in the end so did tricky Dick.
Lot's of Republican defended him at first but as the cover up becaem more apparent, they left him, either because some of them had principles (maybe?) or they knew the American people did and to keep backing Dick was going to blow back on them and it did, hence Ford got beat by a cunt like Carter.
But that got us Reagan.
This is a saveable thread, if I'm wrong it will be here if I am right ,well...

Darth, by definition a second-term President is a "lame duck." He's not allowed to run again.
He has a more enthralled press and minions, did not say he was a powerful.
If "Eichmanns and Barias" don't play a role in exertion of power, what purpose do they serve?

That's where you are worng, look it up, lame duck came about when a politician has no power, it was first used to describe politicains who lost the election and had to serve out their term to little effect.
Many Presidents continue to get things done and weild a high degree of power and influence during their 2nd term.
And Terry, the Press did not lick Reagan's ass like they have Obama and he faced all kinds of criticism and jump all over Iran-Contra and petty shit like his wife buying new dinner wear for state events. Are you old enough to remember what it was like back then.
Maybe you are confusing civility and his carisma in getting along with the White House Press Corps?
