Timmah, I read today that he died in a fall at home in Nashville. Did you know this guy? Said he worked for Rolling Stone. Solid dude? Well regardless, looks like he was a respected journalist. Too bad.

Yeah. He was a pal of mine. Loved music of all kinds, but knew country best. He was the guy who could write about country fo RS and make it cool. He really was country before it was cool.
Guy started writing for RS while in the Navy. Posted stuff to us from an airctaft caarier IIRC. RIP Chet.
