Islam Banned in Angola

While the constitution in Angola guarantees freedom of religion to all of its citizens, this right no longer seems to apply to the followers of the now banned religion of Islam. According to numerous newspapers in Angola, the African nation has banned the Islamic religion. It has become the first country in the world to take such a harsh stance against Muslims.

Cruz e Silva has also said that the closing of mosques is the most recent move in Angola’s effort to but a stop to so-called illegal religious sects. Under new laws in Angola, many religious sects have suddenly become criminal.

We should do the same thing.

No one here considered it anything more than a heathen faith, the only Muslims here were slaves.

If you ban Islams, then only criminals will have Islams.

Banning shit that you don't like is a very Islamic response.

For me it is like stopping infection.

We have had a mosque here in Rockford for over a decade. Last year they built new very beautiful one. The whole city freaked out. 10 years after the fact. I am friends with the local Imam and he gave my family and I a tour, including all of the places off limits to women (for my wife and two girls). We were even invited to the opening. Just like every other religion they're are extremists and they're are good people.

Sometimes I find that I dislike a group, such as Muslims.
Then I think about all the individual Muslims I've known, and how out of dozens, there was only one I didn't like, and I feel like a racist asshole.

Most Muslims (and by proxy, Arabs) in Europe are viewed differently than Muslims in America. In Europe they tend to be poor and under educated whereas in America a fair share of them are wealthy and highly educated.

Your comments could be applied to nearly any poor and under educated group in history.

A lot of people here have experience with Muslims that are decent people, and those who were trying to kill them and their buddies; and with the educated and the uneducated. Still +1.
