Video looks like a guy runs up behind a woman, ends up on the ground, then gets kicked and punched.

She probably wanted to visit a shoe store and deserved it.seeahill wrote:As the guy is getting punched, you can hear another guy saying, incredulously, "you hit a girl? You hit a girl?"
I have no idea. I'm just aware the most famous "knockout game videos" have since been shown to have nothing to do with a knockout game, so you at least expect to see an unsuspecting white person getting hit. This doesn't even show that.Batboy2/75 wrote:So he's the victim? Gotcha!
Watch it with the sound off and see what it looks like.As the guy is getting punched, you can hear another guy saying, incredulously, "you hit a girl? You hit a girl?"
Or, just question why somebody playing the knockout game is wearing black slacks, black shoes, a white shirt with cuffs, and a necktie. Almost as if he were at work.Batboy2/75 wrote:Your eyes and ears are lying to you Tim. The black guy is definately being beat down my the Man and his bat shit crazy woman. You need to ackowledge your built in racism and report to a reeducation camp.seeahill wrote:As the guy is getting punched, you can hear another guy saying, incredulously, "you hit a girl? In the original viral video, there was one of a guy, who turned out to be a teacher, getting hit in the had and eating a curb. The cops involved in the arrest said the attacker said he was having a bad day and decided to tee off on somebody. Happened a year ago. Nothing to do with a game.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:So, Spells...you're saying these knockout game vids aren't of a knockout game.
What the fuck are, then, a group of black youths doing cold cocking someone walking by who isn't even paying attention to them?
Random unconnected violence. What are those situations?
This one fit the preconceptions a little too neatly.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:So, Spells...you're saying these knockout game vids aren't of a knockout game.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/12 ... n-in-mall/Editor’s Note: This story has been updated to reflect comments from the Las Vegas Police Department.
An incident depicted in a viral video Sunday showing a woman thoroughly beat an assailant who appeared to sneak up behind her is not related to the notorious “knockout game,” authorities said.
Las Vegas Police Department spokesman Larry Hadfield told TheBlaze Monday it appears the involved individuals had contact with each other before.
“This incident does not suggest it would be related to any random incident like a ‘knockout’ type game,” he said, noting it “remains under investigation.”
Here's what I don't get. I've seen a lot of these videos and in most of the cases, one party gets the other on the ground, hits them a few times and then let's them get back up. Repeatedly.Dan Martin wrote:Damn...Shafpocalypse Now wrote:
I would argue that that is in large part because your threshold to fight someone is a good bit higher than these people. Where you would (I assume) not fight someone unless there were some perceived threat to self, family, or property and felt it was absolutely necessary these people fight for shits and giggles, over absolutely nothing. So where you would fight to win, they fight for entertainment/appearances. What they are doing in that video is more akin to the sparing you would do in a gym than an actual fight.Dr. Agkistrodon wrote:Here's what I don't get. If I was in a fight, and I was able to get whomever was attacking me on the ground, on their back, I'd do my best to pummel them ground and pound style until they either weren't moving anymore, or they were just shaking uncontrolably and then maybe I'd fuck them into a puddle of chowder for good measure.
You can't let these motherfuckers keep getting back up, it just doesn't make sense.

saying stuff like this: "I'd do my best to pummel them ground and pound style until they either weren't moving anymore, or they were just shaking uncontrolably and then maybe I'd fuck them into a puddle of chowder for good measure." makes it sound like you've never been in a fight before.Dr. Agkistrodon wrote:CharlieBob wrote:I would argue that that is in large part because your threshold to fight someone is a good bit higher than these people. Well, I can't speak for the folks you generally see in these videos, but I can speak for me and you are 100% correct- if I were fighting it'd be because I was defending myself, or my family or my home. I don't wander my hood looking for fights for "entertainment," and I don't look for trouble in a general sense either.
It is interesting to note, that when I'm at BJJ, I enjoy rolling with my friends and the new folks who occasionally drop in, it's a lot of fun, and I enjoy it a lot. But it's also serious business. SO in public, I keep my mouth shut and mind my own business, stay aware of my surroundings and I don't hassle people. Heh, I pretty much do everything I can to avoid altercations, I'm just another face in the crowd y'know.
But if somebody puts their hands on me I'm going to do my best to make them pay for it. So yep, I get what you're driving at.
