LOL almost everybody good is fucked up.Jezzy Bell wrote: These things are not necessarily mutually exclusive. People can be brilliant and completely fucked up.
I haven't heard that but yeah.tough old man wrote:The next person who says he was a tortured soul is probably going to get hit in the face .
Apparently he had 23 years of sobriety before having a relapse with painkillers. Nobody goes into drug use expecting to end up like Amy Winehouse. Unless the moral judgment extends to anybody who uses any drugs/booze, I don't get the "he had it coming" celebratory tone from people. He was a drug addict who ruined his and his family's life .
How would the opinions of those on this thread who criticized his choices be different?Fuzzy Dunlop wrote:
Good riddance. Takes a giant fucking pussy to leave behind a wife and kids to the spike. If he was black I'm sure there'd be a much different sentiment around here.
I'd assume the overall sentiment would be "welp, another drug addict nig bites the dust" not "oh, what a poor tortured soul, he was a brilliant actor!"Turdacious wrote:How would the opinions of those on this thread who criticized his choices be different?Fuzzy Dunlop wrote:

Except that isn't their sentiment. Keep in mind the comments of the alleged 'racists' around here.Fuzzy Dunlop wrote:I'd assume the overall sentiment would be "welp, another drug addict nig bites the dust" not "oh, what a poor tortured soul, he was a brilliant actor!"Turdacious wrote:How would the opinions of those on this thread who criticized his choices be different?Fuzzy Dunlop wrote:

Ok, agreed there isn't as much of that on a second read through the comments. Still some. I just can't have any sympathy for him after failing his family that way. plus, he was a creepy fuck.Turdacious wrote:Except that isn't their sentiment. I didn't see any, but that's quibbling-- he should have been there for his family first, bottom line. We agree on that.Fuzzy Dunlop wrote:Ok, agreed there isn't as much of that on a second read through the comments. Still some. I just can't have any sympathy for him after failing his family that way.
