Apparently he had 23 years of sobriety before having a relapse with painkillers. Nobody goes into drug use expecting to end up like Amy Winehouse. Unless the moral judgment extends to anybody who uses any drugs/booze, I don't get the "he had it coming" celebratory tone from people.

Ok, agreed there isn't as much of that on a second read through the comments. Still some. I just can't have any sympathy for him after failing his family that way. plus, he was a creepy fuck.
