A suspect charged in connection with the 2012 homicide of a Savannah couple has now been indicted.
On September 1, 2012, Emily Pickels, 21, and her boyfriend Michael Biancosino, 30, were found shot to death inside a crashed car at the intersection of Henry Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
The Chatham County District Attorney's Office says there's sufficient evidence for formal charges against the suspect Walter Moon, 34. The indictment includes two counts of malicious murder, four counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault and various other charges.
Detectives say Pickels and Biancosino appeared to be innocent targets.
Moon was already in jail when initial charges were filed against him. Another man, Sidney Grant, was also suspected in the victim's deaths, but detectives say he was shot and killed last Saint Patrick's Day.
