It's happened about 4-5 times now. I'll be looking at some products, checking prices, sizes and browsing, then I'll got to put them in my cart and the price has increased, usually around $20.

I've had that a few times too. One time it doubled the price of some shit.

Also they stopped selling Coca leaves and Adrafinil.

Thus concludes my Amazon update.

This is my field. Quickest way to circumvent this from happening is do your searching in 3 separate browsers (not windows, not tabs, different browsers), and make sure you are not logged in. Then when you are ready to order, login, and then only visit the product pages you have decided on.

So you're telling me that while you're looking at Amazon, Amazon is looking at you, determines that you're a gentleman rancher and wildly successful fitness anti-guru and jacks up its prices because it figures you're a man of means?

The only price hikes I've ever seen on Amazon have been hard drives; check the price of a 2 or 3TB drive, and a couple of days later it's $10 more, but I figured that's just market prices.

That very thing has happened to me trying to book airline tickets on Orbitz or Expedia, and I tried to buy the orig. tickets a minute or two later.

It's a well-known fact that Trivago and other sites charge you more for being surfing from Safari (iOS and OSX browser). Supposedly, Mac users have superior incomes or some shit and they adjust the price accordingly.
