Cash from Amazon

If you bought a book from Amazon Kindle btwn April 1, 2010 and May 21, 2012, you may have money in your Amazon acct. $89.41 for me. They didn't send me an email about it. It has to do with a price fixing law suit. If you have Amazon bookmarked, you can click the link in the story to see your cash. Or not, as the case may be.

There were 5 publishers who were charged with fixing prices. If you didn't buy books published by those publishing houses, you get nada. For instance, Nasty Lesbians Publishing was not included.

Everything I write is a lie, including this sentence.

i believe there is a paradoxical (or is it contradictory?) train of logic that your sentence sets loose, but it is like algebra, and i can't follow it

what is your favorite of your books?

Probably "Hold the Enlightenment," a series of unconnected offbeat travel type articles about remote destinations all over the world. "Jaguars Ripped my Flesh" the first of these type books has stuff I did 35 years ago. Nat Geo ranked it within the best 100 adventure travel books ever written. I like "Enlightenment" because an older guy wrote it and spent several long agonizing minutes trying to figure out what it all means.

ima give it a try.

i've recently read a little paul tillich for the first time ever and some walker percy, so anything that hints at the meaning of things could fit the bill

You'll be disappointed. It's me --- not some celebrated thinker --- wondering what it means, while, say, being arrested in Turkey or Ecuador going where the authorities felt I shouldn't go. Didn't mean to give the wrong impression. It's not deep at all. For sure, not Paul Tillich.

I got Pass the Butterworm on my Kindle, still haven't read it a couple of years later. Maybe one day, when I'm feeling masochistic.

Me too. I mostly read the "classics" (free ;) ) or stuff friends give me to read (reading the Conn Iggulden Genghis series now). I'm not sure what ebook I actually bought from B&N.

I got an email today from Apple about the same settlement. In typical Apple fashion, they have made it complicated, and not given an amount of money, but a link to find out how much money.
