Now that Wladimir has shut down the latest underdog...is there hope for the division? Love both of Klitschkos but their size and skills have smothered the actual fuck out of HW Boxing. What's it going to take? Start rounding up Lithuanian basetball players that can scrap? cross Nick Diaz with Hapthor Bjornson?

Discus...

Division's in a weird spot. A ton of good fights can be made, but pretty much none of them involving the the champion of the division.

Wlad has had the division in a chokehold for quite a while now.

Who cares about these boring-ass Euro trash heavyweights when you have fights like the Mathysse-Molina one on the same night.

Of course, the boring euro fighters aren't that much worse than the spoiled, fight-once-a-year lazy Americans, so there goes your sport...

That fight was awesome last night. Both dudes probably had their careers shaved by a few fights last night. Brutal.

Yeah, that was a great fight, but I 'm not sure it came out how I wanted...

I mean, I feel for Matthysse, because for all the talk of his power, he has taken a bit of a (metaphorical) beating over losing to Garcia and not living up to the hype, so it was nice to see him show even *more* heart and impress the hell out of some people.

That said, it's sort of your own fault if you get run over by your own out-of-control hype machine, and frankly Molina was fighting so well (gutsy) through 5 or 6 that I would have liked to see him win.

If there is a rematch, I would expect to see Matthysse adjust, and it be pretty one-sided.

Also, as an aside, even though it was short I thought Thurman looked pretty good. We'll see if he gets his big fight...
