Ignore your constituents, it's what should happen...in fact, it should happen to damn near every other congressman and senator too. If only the dude wasn't a complete nutter.

I won't miss him. It felt like every time he got on the news I did a face palm out of embarrassment for my state.
Although Cantor was useful as proof that being a white christian wasn't the source of all crazy.
Is the other guy any better? Fuckifiknow. Can't be worse, eh? Anyway it's reached the point where I'm happy anytime an incumbent loses.
So much the better if he outspends his opponent 25 to 1 and still loses.

Cantor will have to console himself with an eight figure consulting job.

How soon does he run for senate as a thoughtful conservative that stands up to the Tea Party? He might be able to drain some Dem votes out of the liberal strongholds that surround Mordor and get enough votes from the rest of the state to pull that off.

Maybe, but the "throw them all out" policy is simply resulting in a more polarized Congress incapable of doing anything. The value of which is that if they can't agree or compromise, they can't fuck it up worse than it is. The disadvantage is they can't make anything better either.

What throw them all out policy? An incumbents odds of re-election are at all-time highs, Tea Party or no Tea Party.

That'd be the one you hear Shaf and a lot of other Americans endorsing. Or are you new to politics I the last decade?

Am I the only one who's surprised by how
high his campaign funding was?

The problem is all congress does is put through bills packed with pork and 100s pages of non related bullshit.
For example: Rep. Dick Weed wants to make sure the VA is funded more so they can expand their services. A nice gesture on his part, since he's easily used over a million dollars from the taxpayers to fight cancer over the course of his tenure.
Rep Cock Nozzle will support it IF you make non corporate chicken raising more difficult.
Rep Kid Fucker will support it if you subsidize the lucrative $500 military spoon plant in his home state
Rep Food Stamp will support it if his constituents can upgrade their Obammy phones every 6 months
Rep Intern Raper will support if you make it legal again to prescribe all the OxyContin you want in Broward County, FL again.
Rep Closet Pedophile will support it of you add in a clause that the police in his state get 35% of the new legalized marijuana profits.
And so on
