The replay doesn't look so bad. He tried to clear it to the left with his right foot but the ball never made it that far.... It went off his plant foot.

What a first goal by Brazil. I still play soccer at the ripe old age of 45, and I can't believe how good these guys are. The way they spread out the field is ridiculous. When we play the Brazillians and Portuguese, (huge population where I live), they just play keep away.

The US will never compete in this We don't care enough. Too many other sports

I'd find it a lot more interesting if they'd let a few NASCAR drivers race around the field while the game was going on.

Heh. I used to think I was good until I played against foreigners for the first time. Very humbling.

I'm not sure you understand how predictions work.

Yeah, you only posted it once, not several times in a row. Plus there wasn't a faulty youtube link.

Pretty sure the fix is in after watching that Brazil match, but the Netherlands got me fired up again.

If you're in the US, ESPN is great. And free. Here's a good article with some suggestions:

I have a few dozen Facebook friends who are both huge Kings and Spurs fans. In a few weeks I will ask them their pick for the World Cup and get back to you.

For those of you who don't care about the Cup, here's an angle: football wives. Here's the wife of England captain Steven Gerrard earlier this week.

Do the Brazilian fans throw bananas on the field like they do in Europe?
