It's Mother-@#$%-ing Pumpkin Season

Looking for the best pumpkin ale on the market. Some local bar had one last year that was like 12% alcohol but super-smooth and tasty, wish I could remember who made it.
"I jush ha two beers, ossifer. Honesht."
Got to come up with my carving design too. Lots of pumpkin related activity.

IMHO, Schlafly brewery from St. Louis has the best pumpkin ale.
Sam Adams harvest pumpkin is very good too. They also have a double pumpkin sometimes. Not sure I remember thinking it was good though.

Fathead's "Spooky Tooth" sounds like what you descibed, but I'm not sure about nat'l distribution, I think they are from Xleveland.
Southern Tier's "Pumking" is my favorite, but it's more in the 8.5-9% range iirc.

Had a Dogfish Pumpkin Ale the other night, pretty tasty in a subtle way. Ended up having two.
Also had a scoop of pumpkin ice cream last night. Got a pumpkin cheesecake in the fridge. Had sex with a pumpkin recently. It's all good.

Had a Jack-O Traveler Shandy last night, will not be having another. Way too strong taste of burnt pumpkin pie. A solid meh.
Also had a Post Road Pumpkin Ale. Better than the Jacko, but the Dogfish remains the best. Haven't been able to try the ones you guys recommended.

Still tastes like an ale but with a pumpkin pie flavor. Too many breweries make these too sweet. Not the case here.

I'm sick of pumpkin bullshit. Its the new trendy thing like bacon was. Surprised there hasn't been a pumpkin-bacon beer yet. Or maybe a pirate-ninja-bacon-pumpkin ale. Ghey.
