WTF style is this............

I started noticing this style while wandering through airports this week. It didn't really register until I saw a Crossfitter sitting on the floor waiting for a plane yesterday. I don't know for sure that he was a Crossfitter but the tats, Rogue t-shirt, Reebok shorts and official Crossfit shoes were subtle clues.
The guy was jacked but I've noticed it on assorted girly man hipster types as well. Seems to have come out of nowhere.

It's a phase.
Like when everybody and their brother was wearing chucks, skull caps and briefs at their local Bally's Gym while squatting to a bench with Disturbed in their headphones.
Only to upload the squat session with an added track of Disturbed for their half-dozen channel subscribers.
