The attacks, according to state-run television, occurred north of Homs and into Hama Province.

But they appear to have hit areas controlled by rival insurgent groups that oppose both Mr. Assad and the Islamic State, according to one rebel commander in Hama Province, Jamil al-Saleh. His group, the Izza Gathering, is one of the remaining fragments of the loosely-knit Free Syrian Army, relatively secular groups that have received some Western support.

He's definitely there to prop up Assad and stick a finger in the eye the "good" rebels. He also brought over anti-aircraft weaponry. Who is that for?

So now the Saudis will start throwing arms and money at the "moderate" rebels. Eventually ISIS will get into the shooting with the Russians, who have a big islamic radical population in their own borders. I am voting for them getting mired into the whole mess, with terrorism back home.

Yeah, the whole concept of addressing the fact that our opponent and enemy, Putin....and make no mistake he is our opponent/enemy, is owning our own POTUS with ease, is somehow gay or that one is lauding him somehow is utterly laughable and sad.
