24 years ago minus a few days I went to the record store and a buddy who worked there said " Hey, you like Soundgarden. Have you heard the new album? Check this out."

After 2 minutes I bought it.

I got dropped off in Broadview Country Club Estates by my girlfriend's BFF and put it in my walkman to walk home.

I walked around long enough to hear it all the way through twice. I was blown away and a little pissed because they had just made the kind of music I was trying to make as I wanted to do something that had elements of the metal I liked but also great, organic sounding Rock and Roll.

Thus began a long term for them as my favourite band on Earth that lasted until the Superunknown tour when it was obvious they were losing steam and were not getting along. It was heartbreaking to see them blown off the stage by Reverend Horton Heat.

But this album is a masterpiece, although I like Louder Than Love a bit more and Ultramega OK just as much, this album will always be a paradigm shift for me musically.
