Some of what I want to listen to isn't available on the podcast app that comes with the phone. I was told that I need to find what I want on my laptop and download it on my itunes to have it get to my phone. That's too much work IMO.
My kid has an android and can download just about everything directly to his phone.
There must be some easy way to do the same thing with an iPhone. do any of your smart people know what it is?

Nope. You can however import them through iTunes and put them on your phone. Once in iTunes change the media type to podcast. Voila

There are no shortage of apps to do this. Try Stitcher. Save podcasts from the app and listen on or off line.

The good podcasts aren't on the iPhone iTunes nor the computer iTunes but on the secret iTunes. PM me if interested in the password.

Thanks all. I got Stitcher and will look into pocket casts. I have an old browser on my iPhone that I forgot about (Atomic Web). Turns out that it has a download feature that Safari lacks which has allowed me to download and save podcasts directly from websites.
I'm afraid Proto is trolling me into a link for Lemon Party so I'll never learn his secret.
