Ironmind Headstrap Fit for Hercules

This thing is awesome, easily the best neck harness I've ever used. I have a crappy nylon everlast harness and have used the $30 adjustable leather harness you can buy pretty much anywhere, but neither come close to the Ironmind. If all you care to do is use a harness for neck extensions the cheaper ones will probably be fine, but for lifting heavy weights from the ground the Ironmind is the way to go. I haven't ever done this lift and in my first training session yesterday did 60x5, 70x3 and 80x1. My goal is to get 200 in this lift. Those that attended WFU's strength clinic last year were privileged to see Steve Jeck perform this feat of strength with a 225lb stone, so you know this head harness can take some abuse!
If you're in the market it is well worth the money.
Next up - my Elite Fitness GHR when it finally gets here...

Scott,
If I recall correctly, you were quite pleased with (what I believe is the much less costly,) NY Barbell GHR, yes ?
Just curious, if my recollection is accurate, why the upgrade ?
Best wishes for the New Year !

The HFFH is one big tittied, tight pussied version of a head strap. The kind that drops by for a booty call, and tells you to put it in her ass to finish off.

Sorry man, I thought mentioning the clue "Ironmind" and "Headstrap Fit for Hercules" in the subject line might have been a dead give away.

Shaf,
I take back my review! You nailed it! LOL! Excellent, you should send this to Strossen and see if they can advertise this way in Milo! LMFAO!

Hey man, good to hear from you again and best wishes to you as well bro.
The NYBB GHR is a great GHR for sure. If you intend to use it for a home gym type deal and you weigh under say 240-250lbs. I do about 20-40 personal training sessions a week in my basement gym and some of the athletes I train are pretty big dudes. In particular I have an NCAA guard turned fullback who dropped from 315 to 270 for his senior year and is now getting ready for his combine and when he uses the NYBB GHR the toe plate actually bends some. I actually read on a PL forum (I think deep squatter's) where a heavier lifter (I think he was a 275+) broke the weld on his NYBB GHR toe plate, re-welded it and it was fine. I am getting quite a few referrals and calls from high school and college ball players to come prep for combines this year and will be doing some work with some college/minor/major league baseball players in the near future as well and I am just too afraid that the plate will eventually break considering the amount of use my GHR gets. I also have a high school football/basketball player (kids a freak with a 415 squat, just turned 16yrs and has only been lifting with me for a year) he is so explosive when he does the GHR on the NYBB model I have, the front end of the GHR jumps off the floor and the whole unit moves around. It makes me feel like a big pussy cause' I can't make it do that when I train on it!
For the amount of use my equipment gets, and for some of the beasts that train with me I need to upgrade to heavier duty stuff. If it was just my training partner and me (we both lift in the 198's or 220's) or for someone looking to add it to a home gym that will use it a couple times a week, the NYBB is the way to go, cause' I am still having a hard time justifying $930 for a GHR from Elite, I hope it's all its cracked up to be! We'll see, it should be here in a week or so.

Scott,
Congratulations on all the quality work with fine people. Sounds like your purchase of top grade equipment is consistent with being a premier training facility. No doubt your investment will yield great returns, in all senses.
Best,
Eddie
