Fixitnow.com and the Samurai Appliance Repairmen that dwell within know whereof they speak.
The FAQ's and forum discussion search will probably tell you what is wrong with your appliance and how to fix it.
The Maytag is agitating again; took $30 dollars of parts.

Nice link.
Fucking faggot maytag repair costs at least $50 to come and look, then $50 for 10 minutes of labor + a 30% premium on parts they have in their van.

Shit, the last time I called Culligan they said they could send a guy over in about two months and it would cost $180 just for him to show up on the porch.
I hung up quick.

Appliances suck. Fucking GE microwave died after 8 years, blown magnatron. Part $125, new microwave $180.
Turns out I have unreasonable expectations of quality and longevity.
$180 for a new microwave, means that some ODM in china sold it for about $50 to Whirlpool Inc. Now that would buy lots of rice to pay the children that assemble them, I suppose. I should be happy if it lasts beyond the warranty period let alone 8x.

Overall, I've found lower end GE stuff to be some of the shittiest appliances you can buy. Even a lot of mid-range stuff is shit.

The business model is fucked.
The shittiness of their lower end products does not inspire me to spend more on a higher end appliance.
Why drop $1000 on a microwave with more features to break when you can buy 6 of the lower end models?
Yea I know, I am filling up the landfill with broken appliances

OK. I used Fixitnow.com to fix my fridge, a Maytag side by side with a clogged drain in the freezer. The issue was that the tube leading to the runoff reservoir for the defroster had gotten clogged with dust from the bottom up, and thus froze. I thawed it out. I used a pipe cleaner to gently clean the thing out from both sides, and now it drains freely and easily.
