Don't want to ruin it for anyone...but it is a bit heavy. The wife and I really dug it. Let's talk about it after some folks have seen it.

It didn't suck?

All the reviews I've seen said it sucked. Of course most critics are limp wristed faggots.

I would have expected our resident knife expert Tom Fur(trader)man to weigh in on the knife work already. The premise is interesting and not necessarily too far out from the realm of possibility...except for maybe the repo part of the story. Maybe not in our lifetime but you know there'll be a time when certain "parts" e.g. joints, kidneys etc. will be replacable either with something artificial/mechanical or biological in nature. And then when this does happen who gets the replacement parts? Total free market? Get on a list? Interesting. That's basically what the movie is about. The company that makes the replacement parts has a sales staff that preys upon those in need who then become contractually obligated with outrageous interest rates for these parts and if you don't pay up, they're repo'ed.

I was disinterested from the jump, and I realize this is my own stupid thought process.

If there is a corporation so advanced that they can make manmade organs, can't they create a system where a nonpayer's organ gets shut down? They have that for cars now. Hell, try to skip out on your cable bill and see what it gets you. Better make your lung payment or they'll shut it off. Then they'll have no problem finding their collateral, 'cause you will be tits up within 20 seconds.

Of course, that makes for a shitty movie.
