Started out a bit slow, sped up and went to several squicky places at the end. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

There are about three scenes that make this a must see. The rest is retarded.

And deeply misogynist, which ought to make it pretty popular around here.

Watched this at a friend's house who said it was "deeply fucked up." During the first 3/4 of the film, I left the room to cook/check on food, check email, etc. I don't think I missed anything, and even missing much of the movie I saw the twists coming.

I think I'm going to avoid anything with Adrian Brody from now on.

EDIT: My friend loses major points for having watched it, then having me over to watch this instead of an Eastbound and Down marathon (my suggestion).

I wouldn't go that far. I really liked him in "The Jacket" and I've heard good things about him in "Predators" (on its way to us from Netflix.) He was the least objectionable part of "Splice" IMO.

The Jacket was that one with Keira Knightly, right? No desire to see it. Predators also sounds not great, but that's also not my kind of flick.

He's not a bad actor, just seems to work on some bad projects.
