Damn I love my netflix.
Watched Arn The Knight Templar.
Arn, the son of a high-ranking Swedish nobleman is educated in a monastery and sent to the Holy Land as a knight templar to do penance for a forbidden love.
It's a bit slow at times since it follows Arn and his love Cecillia as they serve their penance.
But Arn is a bad mother.
My main complaint is it ends a bit abruptly but there is a sequel that fills in some more backstory but I can't get it on netflix yet.
Worth watching just keep in mind it's not terribly action packed and subtitled with some English.

I saw a preview for this and was wondering about it. I'll check it out.

I watched it at work last night, I liked it overall. Bit choppy and abrupt, but I checked Wikipedia and apparently this was cut down to one movie from two for the American market. Would love to get my hands on the two originals.
Beautifully filmed but kind of spare and efficient.

Don't sell yourself short, your review is what got me to Netflix it in the first place.

I have read the books (not seen the film or tv series) they are well worth reading.
