Bosu

Very nice toy. Steve Cotter suggested one a while back. Nice for low back, abdominal, and oblique/quadratus work. Squatting BW on this engages the upper hams, I think, due to having to stay centered so you don't fall off. Kind of an incidental or accidental feature.
Doing any type of pressing and using it as a bench seems to engage my lats. I did KB bench presses and it fired up the whole upper body. You can place it on some benches and put one knee on it for one arm rows. Instability is a tool that can be taken WAY too far, like C&J on a Swiss ball. Total BS. I think the BOSU is a nice tool.
I will be trying some stick work standing on it to see how my weight transfers etc.
For lifters, try BW squats and do your DB benches on it.
