le tour

Post by dead man walking »

you watchin?

lance is doing a blog and podcast. it's good.

he doesn't think sagan should have been dq'd--sagan's elbow came out after cavendish was going down.

he also discusses disc brakes: you should have them.

My wife is an uber Cav fan. My daughter thinks Sagan is the schnizzle. Quiet moments at dinner last night.
Don’t believe everything you think.

here's armstrong on sagan's d.q.
The other day I wondered aloud if sprinters get scared, and then ex-pro and sprinter Greg Henderson direct-messaged me. He said that 5k to 2k from the finish is freaking scary. He also said that in the end you don’t think consciously, it’s all adrenaline. That got me thinking again about Sagan. I’m still mad. Go back and look at it in slow motion. He didn’t knock down Cav with his elbow. Sprinters, adrenaline, obliviousness, mayhem. Did I mention that I disagree with Sagan getting kicked out of the Tour?
armstrong, a sometime liar, is correct. stop action shows cavendish going down before the elbow comes out.

nafod, tell your daughter the goddam frogs can't be trusted. that's what my old man always said after his return from ww ii. some things never change.

From what I saw in slo mo it looked like Cav nudged Sagan w his head, to the left, knocked Sagan off balance then fell to his right into the barrier. Sagan looks to have kicked out his left knee and right elbow after getting bumped to maintain balance.

I don't watch or know anything about road racing. Didn't look intentional or malicious to me on Sagans part.
