This is sounding like a win-win.
Nafod's right and we get to see Trump take the walk of shame. This blows over and we get pizza.

The purpose of having a two party system is to give everyone a "side" to lay blame on while the system itself remains structurally stable and outside the public discourse. If there's anything I like about Trump it's that he is an idiot that shits on both and destabilizes the system itself, more like a natural disaster than a politician. But then again, it was politicians that brought you Kosovo, Serbia, Kuwait, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, etc.

Yes.

One thing I like about this story is that it shows the rot everywhere. Trump truly squeezed Zelenskly for his own benefit and Biden 100% knew he was pulling strings and setting up his emotionally damaged kid for filthy riches from corrupt Ukrainians and America's greatest foe, China.

The late great Andy is sitting, rocking, and enjoying the show of our tribal self destruction from the afterlife.

Thread wander...nowhere in the Constitution or the writings around it do they talk about a two party system, or even parties. I think that was a big “miss” by the founding brothers.

I don’t think the two party system is a feature, either. We should have more choices.

It is an inevitability though, based on our voting scheme. A third party always just decides between the top two parties by removing votes from one more than the other.

I’m a big fan of the voting scheme in Maine, where you list your order of preferred candidates.

Foxnews.com homepage is shockingly negative on Trump.

Washington Post has *three* sources saying trump told the Russians in the Oval he didn’t care about their election interference because the US does it too. I previously thought treason was the wrong word but that’s what is described.

This is way worse than Nixon and people are going to start getting off the bus. First GOP congressman called for impeachment.

Yea, that’s a truth. Why couldn’t he just parlay his family into a beer distributorship or something?

Nice article... https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archi ... on/598804/

Damn, John Bolton has unleashed absolute hell on Trump.

Watch all of the Republicans get all principled and shit as the public comes out in favor of impeachment. So very brave.

GOP lawmaker digs up audio of Schiff telling prank callers he would accept Trump dirt from Ukraine

In the clip, Schiff, D-Calif., tells the Russian shock-jocks, who were posing as Andriy Parubiy, the former speaker of Ukraine's parliament, that he would be willing to accept dirt on Trump from the Ukranian.

You'd have to actually exert effort to look the other way on this shit. I feel bad for Trump apologists. Work cut out for them.
Trump at 10:37:24 a.m., talking about trade negotiations: "I have a lot of options on China, but if they don't do what we want, we have tremendous power."

Trump at 10:37:54 a.m., asked about Ukraine probe: "Likewise, China should start an investigation into the Bidens."

Biden Inc.

Over his decades in office, ‘Middle-Class Joe’s’ family fortunes have closely tracked his political career.

The day the Bidens took over Paradigm Global Advisors was a memorable one.

In the late summer of 2006 Joe Biden’s son Hunter and Joe’s younger brother, James, purchased the firm. On their first day on the job, they showed up with Joe’s other son, Beau, and two large men and ordered the hedge fund’s chief of compliance to fire its president, according to a Paradigm executive who was present.

After the firing, the two large men escorted the fund’s president out of the firm’s midtown Manhattan office, and James Biden laid out his vision for the fund’s future. “Don’t worry about investors,” he said, according to the executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing fear of retaliation. “We've got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”

At the time, the senator was just months away from both assuming the chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launching his second presidential bid. According to the executive, James Biden made it clear he viewed the fund as a way to take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money to his older brother or his campaign account. “We've got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash ready to invest in this company,” the executive remembers James Biden saying.

At this, the executive recalled, Beau Biden, who was then running for attorney general of Delaware, turned bright red. He told his uncle, “This can never leave this room, and if you ever say it again, I will have nothing to do with this.”

A spokesman for James and Hunter Biden said no such episode ever occurred. Beau Biden died in 2015, at 46.

Funny as hell that all of Trumps emoluments violations, where he blatantly uses his office to pack rooms at his properties goes unchallenged. Also goes unchallenged about faking a Chinese call on trade negotiations at the G7 summit in order to calm the stock market that was in the process of shitting the bed due to tariffs. Both of which could have been used to bounce him on his ass with zero leg to stand on. Dems maybe growl about those things a bit and then promptly forget about it. But as soon as he starts to expose the corruption of the Washington elite it's time to crucify him. Lets not even begin to talk about assisting in the siege war in Yemen we're helping Saudi Arabia wage that's killing thousands of civilians.
I dislike the orange mother fucker as much as anybody, but this is bullshit that they're claiming THIS is the worst thing Trump has done.

U.S. Appeals Court Reinstates Emoluments Case Against Trump

Sept. 13, 2019

A federal appeals court in New York on Friday revived a lawsuit alleging that President Trump is illegally profiting from his hotels and restaurants in New York and Washington in violation of the Constitution’s anti-corruption, or emoluments, clauses.
Google on Trump and emoluments.

Fox News, so take this with your normal anti-nausea medication.

Ex-Ukraine prosecutor said he was told to back off probe of Biden-linked firm, files show

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ukrain ... ment-files

The fired prosecutor at the center of the Ukraine controversy said during a private interview with President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani earlier this year that he was told to back off an investigation involving a natural gas firm that was linked to Joe Biden’s son, according to details of that interview that were handed over to Congress by the State Department’s inspector general Wednesday.

I was thinking more along the lines of the House not immediately threatening impeachment on emoluments as soon as they won the majority.
The first rule of politics is you don't talk about the ubiquitous nepotism and corruption. Trump didn't get that memo and now he must pay. His biggest mistake is calling out corruption when he's an order of magnitude more corrupt and is blatantly out in the open about it.
