Re: The couch thread
breaking up with someone because of their training methods is usually* downright retarded. In this case I think the dirthole diver actually gained some points for dumping said half calved @fit douche.
are there going to be greased up airbrushed pictures a la shariboobies to follow?

Is it just me or does any else get the distinct impression that Dirt Road Diva is hanging onto her sanity by a mere thread with all these self affirmations, narcissism and new age mumbo jumbo? She’s over 40 years of age and is still playing out this never ending re-run of Tank Girl. The 90’s are over honey. Time to shelf the grrrl power, the self actualization shtick and grow the fuck up already.

So awesome. While she's to be commended for dumping a guy because he's a @Fitter, eliminating all guys who don't like to train >13 mile sessions is a recipe for deep, meaningful relationships with her dogs.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

She is a walking sideshow. She should have her own carnival barker.Rant wrote:Is it just me or does any else get the distinct impression that Dirt Road Diva is hanging onto her sanity by a mere thread with all these self affirmations, narcissism and new age mumbo jumbo? There seems to be some superficial interest/investment in "the spiritual" with all her mumbo jumbo, kitchen sink blend of whatever she read last week.
And yet, there's obviously a deep investment in outward apperance with the day glow colored clothing, 5 different hair colors, make-up an inch thick, year round tan, tattoos, etc.
My best guess is that she struggles with self-image and self-worth, and everything that you see in her life is a rescue station. I think she'll make it because no matter how bad things get she'll always have "go out and run 150 miles" to save her.
Re: The couch thread
I dated a yoga instructor who was a "high protien vegan triathlete". Looked like Sandra Bullock with abs, so I chose to not figure out what this meant for a couple months. She was in fact a anorexic, nutball with daddy issues, but being a high protein vegan is a hell of a cover. Being a tattooed, wilderness, high milage @fitter is a pretty good way of making sure no one figures out what's really going on.
Growing old is not for sissies.

I showed my wife her blog once and she just sort of shook her head. Unlike myself she doesn’t ever have a bad word to say about anyone but did comment that “looks like some one never grew up” How true. I mean this girl is 44 which is the same age as me. She has no husband, no kids and no visible means of support. What the flying fuck does she do besides take daily photographs of herself and go jogging?

Does Carl have a blog? Something tells me there is a whole other side to this story.

Word. Replace "trail running" with any other obscure hobby and tell me if it doesn't sound like you'd get tossed in the loony bin. "Gee, Tammy was hot, and great with kids, but she just didn't share my passion for four string banjo music. So it never would have worked out. Dr. Phil will tell you the same thing."Rant wrote:Does Carl have a blog? Something tells me there is a whole other side to this story.
I submit that somebody that nuts would not have the good sense to dump a @Fitter. More likely Couch will not tolerate recovering alcoholics, and Bataan von Cricketlegs had to make a tough choice.

Jez, regarding dirtdiva, she needs the gentle touch of a woman to get her through this. Thoughts?

So Carl and I broke up a couple days ago. A break up doesn't have to be viewed upon as a bad thing. It's just means we had different paths that we wanted to take. I don't believe in wasting someones time. Most people stay stuck in situations for a long time. I have so much stuff I wanna do in the wilderness..Like fastpacking and running long trails. Non of which Carl can do because he believes in a different way of training ,not going longer then 13 miles. My life is running. it is what keeps my soul alive. And every year I must take my few weeks to live in the wilderness.
It's sad but at the same time best for both.
Carl is an awesome person and great CF trainer.
I wish him the best on his journey through life.

u r inspiring
so many days your enthusiasm
and mountain legs have pushed
and challenged and helped endure
I was quietly curious how you'd
sustain it all--wildness, life, love

I would not touch her tattooed, pierced, VD ridden snatch with a ten foot pole. That girl is 50lbs of nuts in a 10lb bag. I'd be afraid I'd wake up one day with her on top of me tattooing her name somewhere.

I think Carl needs to step up and join this thread. I know he lurks since he threatened me about posting his picture on my blog and here. Carl you have friends here. We feel your pain and can only imagine the level of anguish that you were put through in order to get to 5th base with dirty diva and shit.

I just wanted to hand out a general tummy rub: the last dozen or more posts in this thread have been truly top shelf, and I think you all need to give yourselves a big pat on the back. Let the hate be unbroken!
