Sofa King,

Things are now cool between me and Everette. Saw him when he was opening his place in Sunnyvale.
I deserved getting banned from the old Performance Menu. Just fucked with them too much.

Brings me to today. I'm backing one of my rigs into a customers place and see this group of guys doing some sort of x-fitty shit. This was in Scotts Valley. Told my last name is John, first name Gary.

Didn't have the heart to fuck with them.

Greg's place is nice. Bars are bent though.

What were you doing in Scotts Valley? There's a good BBQ joint there.

A problem you can be certain Glassman never had at the old CrossFit Santa Cruz.

What's the problem? Don't all great O lifters catch as much air as possible with hands and feet when doing cleans? Clearly you don't understand the level they are on.

But I do. See, I am forced to witness their daily plods around the block damn near everyday.

I think the victory jump normally would come after the lift, not during.

So, their timing is off by a few seconds and the weight is off by about 375lbs too, for that matter.

It looks like it's supposed to be 2 swords stuck in his back probably symbolizing the chronic back pain he suffers as the result of improper lifting technique.

I used to work at a gym where there was a regular that had a tramp stamp. He was clearly a bottom.

hi all, just need to comment on something that has been bugging me for a while. im a massive advocate of crossfit, totally hooked, and in debt to its creators. but can anybody tell me why Coach Glassman appears to be so out of shape, waistline in particular. i honestly dont mean to offend anyone but with all his obvious wisdom it is something that really niggles me, and is one of the common queries i get when i introduce somebody to the program. once again no offence intended Greg maybe you're the only one who can put me straight.
cheers, kayno.

#16 Kayne,

I can't speak for Coach directly, but just because he might not eat/drink/workout the way he says is right does not reflect negatively on his influence.
If you dig into the archives, there have been numerous posts showing Greg doing his thing
; swinging on parallel bars, doing levers on rings, etc... Man's in shape, just likely limited by his injury.

Things have happened in Coaches life that he does not share here...if what I have heard is the true story then it is admirable. I will leave it to Coach to tell his story if he chooses...other than that it is a normal and understandable question.
Where in what archives show coach doing more than a skin the cat on rings or showing a little girl how to do a muscle up?

Whatever happened back in the day with couch surely scarred the other kid more than him

Re: Why is Crossfit's Greg Glassman so out of shape?

I cannot say why coach does not look to be in shape. I would definitely say however that there are many coaches out there, I would argue to say that the majority of coaches, as a matter of fact, are not in the greatest physical shape. Phil Jackson coaches one of the greatest teams in the world and would likely call them the best, but obviously does not have their athletic ability. Sure he's a damn good coach, wasn't the greatest player, but he can lead. Coach Glassman is in the same catagory.
Phil Jacksopn is a professional coach, not a strength and conditiong coach. Coauch in neither, but in his mind he an S/C coach. Everett? Ross? Look at what a slob JC Santana is...

Couch is now in the same category as a former NBA player and coach? Phil Jackson made it to the fucking NBA! Couch doesn't even have a newspaper clipping of his fantasy gymnastic career. Jackson has coached world championship teams. Couch turns men into women and women into men.

What the fuck are these people on?

This guy is such a tool.

They might as well make some generator for the forums that recognizes keywords and generates generic auto-responses. This guy doesn't know shit but he feels like he is in a position to tell others to do what he can't, kind of like a younger, skinnier couch.

This is a video of this expert getting his fuck on:

I can't quite tell whether the chick doing those awful front squats in the background has 10s or 25s, but regardless she looks much stronger than this chump.

Fish, great find.

There is so much greatness in this vid. Holocaust survivor here is barefoot, backsquating the same weight a cute little chickee is FRONT squatting for twice as many reps, in her cross trainers...this is true gold.

Edit: Couldn't help but give this ckid some tough love:
"Did you watch this video b4 you posted? I doubt it. Please take a look at the little cutie behind you, FRONT SQUATTING for nearly TWICE as many reps in sneakers. Good Lord son, put away the camera and pick up some food."

Fish,
I nearly cried watching that video. The cheerleader in the background "Rocky Balboa" front squatting a weight similar to the xfit dude was awesome. Great find.
The cool thing about training is that becoming more sexy is just a side effect........
