This is a topically applied NSAID.
So it can be directly applied to sore joints, tendonitis, strained muscles, etc...straight to the pain, without having to circulate through your whole system & without putting so much of a strain on your kidneys.
So far, works great on my continually injured thumb joint.
This is a prescription drug, and must be made at a compounding pharmacy. IMO, it's worth the trouble.
