I did cf for six months. Two months after I started doing it regularly, I went to my L1 cert and learned to kip on pullups. 4 months later, I quit kipping due to shoulder pain. I started just lifting for strength and stopped all pullups for three months. Then I started training for weightlifting. However, my left shoulder would hurt when I went overhead heavy so I took another six months off. I started training again this winter. And once again, once I went overhead heavy for more than two weeks, shoulder pain began again.

I went to an ortho today. He immediately mentions labrum, specifically SLAP tear. Fucking fucking fuck. We were TOLD these were safe. I'm not an idiot, but unfortunately, I usually trust people who present themselves as an authority.
