I'm not a fan of NASA's manned space program, but there is no doubt that Armstrong and the other men who went to moon were exceptionally courageous and worthy of respect.

I saw him speak at one of the experimental aircraft association conventions in Oshkosh. Warm evening sitting out on a lawn while he sat up on stage and answered questions. Magical night.
