If you were that big and strong, wouldn't you lift something heavy? That's like me push pressing 8-12kg, a pretty pointless record.

Bud Jeffries seems to have a lot of fun with whatever it is he's doing...I just can't tell what it is. It's like he and Steve Justa are opposite halves of a single persona grinding away in obscurity.

I guess, technically, if you do something nobody else has bothered to do, you do have a world record.

Hope so...there's an entire fitness empire (soon to have a jet) that is relying on it.

I guess I was expecting sporting world records to leave me in awe over the act itself and the way it was achieved.

PL should take a page from other silly sports like Highland Games and just do away with federations. Show up and compete...If you don't like the equipment and judging, drink more.

Bud has a thing for the number one followed by a multiple number of zeros. 100 PP's, 1000 lb. squat, 1000 snatches with a 16kg. KB, etc. I recall the Irontamer and the one-legged pistol guy both repeating that last one.
