RTS: Auto-Regulation Fundamentals DVD

Post by Luke »

Great product for someone interested in autoreggin' their workouts with the more overwhelming RTS stuff being omitted.

(Un)Fortunately for me, the most I got out of it was affirmation I probably know all I need to know about the basics and then some. Mike's other seminar DVDs are more comprehensive and tie the book in well too, yet the presentation on this DVD was more polished and would be better suited to the layperson intrigued by Reactive Training Systems, I think.

Yeah I'd give it a miss if you've already been immersed in it.

Something interesting that came up was his complete disregard for the notion that you can stimulate hormone output by exercise choice during a given session. You know how the Rippetoe/70s Big mob tout that squat, deadlift, bench in the one session will give you the most hormone output? Apparently the effect is so small and transient that he puts no stock in the idea.

The other sacred cow that he does a good job of debunking is the whole Deadlift is the most CNS intensive becuase blah blah.
