Legendary Nights gatti-ward

Post by baffled »

Covers the whole trilogy instead of just one fight.

5/5. Micky Ward is always cool to listen to. Kathy Duva, Lou Dibella, Buddy McGirt and others were all in there.

These two grew to be great friends after 30 excessively violent rounds. Really 20, since Gatti took the second fight without nearly the fireworks of the first or third fights, but still.

Some very emotional moments, including a teary eyed Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant.

I wish Gatti hadn't died so tragically four years ago, but I think it actually added to the impact of the story. It should neon demand soon if it's not already. Or catch it on replay.

Their trilogy was legendary! I didnt catch this- like you said I hope it's on demand soon. You are completely correct, I wish Gatti hadn't gone out like he did...damn shame.

Looks like it's on demand out here. Comcast, Xfinity or whatever it's called.

HBO. Watch it now.

I think I have every Gatti fight and every Ward fight on DVD. Great series. Some of the very tip top action in all of combat sports.

It is correct to name their fights as the top series of fights for action in just about any combat sport. What made it spectacular is the incredible amount of punishment both guys took and gave in the 1st and 3rd fights. That they grew to be very close friends through 90 minutes of fighting makes the story fairly unique and one worth telling and watching.

Great documentary and you don't have to be a big boxing fan to enjoy it. My kids loved it too.

That's right. Buttercup's endorsed it.

Time to queue it up on your Xfinity and appreciate a great story, niggers.
