I actually got lured in when reading the description of how things were supposed to work. Maybe I misunderstood but it seemed like it might be interesting. Then I saw the "sample" event posted on YouTube and God, how it sucks. Beyond words. I'd rather watch people bowling or playing golf.

There are probably enough full on kool-aid swillers to keep this afloat for a few seasons. And with their disposable income, who knows?
They're also bringing back some apostates, I think that OPT guy owns the Phoenix "franchise". I always thought he was smarter than that though. Canadians are supposed to come south in the winter.

The Gatorade thing was somewhat interesting, but resulted in 4-5 people being banned for apparently deleted posts

Lots of undercurrent on that, IME Crossfitters don't drink Gatorade much anyway.

LOL, Cooch and the gang would sell out in a New York Minute if Gatorade would only cut them a Reebok style sponsorship. Gatorade could be made from Chimp Cum and give you brain cancer and they'd wouldn't skip a beat selling it to the idgits they fleece every single day.

I had forgotten what a real douchebag that Saran fuck is.

This Andrew Casey dude is chuckle worthy.
i wonder when we will get the warning about drinking the kool aid?

if i have to choose between kool aid and gatorade i think i will go with gatorade. though, i never really liked gatorade anyway because it isn't zone and it's athletes are all non-elite specialist in leagues like the NBA and NFL.

i wonder if any athletes associated with reebok, espn, rogue, etc are sponsored by gatorade? or any other drinks or supps owned by "big soda"? i wonder if someone sells gatorade at their box if they will lose their affiliation? sometimes i drink chocolate milk post-WOD that is made by Nestle, does Nestle count as big soda? anyway, I anxiously await the coming revolution and can't wait to see what happens next.

What I learned is that Dale Saran has made only 557 posts since 2005. That's an awful lot of stupid squeezed into a few words.

Saran's best work was on Facebook, with his attempts to set up MMA style fights with detractors, under Nevada regulations.

What exactly just happend over the past 11 pages?

"...what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

I think that sums up this entire discussion.

But really, are we moralizing about the marketing of sugar water because a statistically insignificant amount people don't understand the idea of moderation? Really? This is a battle you'd like to fight?

The cognitive dissonance on display in the arguments for driving "big soda" out of the fitness industry is, frankly...well not surprising.

So "big soda" = bad, then alcohol would have no place in fitness right? Even if it was marketed in a way that would appeal to a younger fitter demographic. CF would never take money and allow a compan...

Oh right...

But that was just vendor, just there to sell product to all the fans. They wouldn't, oh I don't know allow a corporate sponsor who markets fat, salt and sugar laden food to spon....

Ohhhh! Man...really? Ok, ok...well we know after reading all these studies from as far back as 1996 according to one of the Russell's, that Gatorade is bad right? So we've known about this and would NEVER allow them to spons...

godamnitsomuch

So I'm a bit confused now, is this just moral relativism or did HQ give back the money paid to them by Gatorade, Panda Express and Michelob Ultra?

I'm sure you're aware all links are wfs

For the record, Rant on The Moynihan Institute has been railing against the evils of Gatorade for years.

Similar to Brick @fit NYC;
Brick Sport Performance Training, a new breed in fitness centers, consists of a 13,000 sq. ft. flagship location in the heart of Manhattan. The facility is spread out amongst two floors of space boasting locker rooms, showers, dry sauna, a smoothie bar, retail offerings, and an exclusive member’s lounge. Brick Sport Performance Training will offer the results and strong community of a traditional CrossFit box with all the amenities of a luxurious fitness club.

CF Belltown has moved twice so far, maybe three times. They are, by all reports, a horrible tenant.

I did not know that.

I live on the east side (work in downtown) and they are on every corner over there.

Whatever, I'd fuck her until I seized up and had a stroke.

Crossfit is still damn good at making women hot (when they're not injured).
