The book about cycling performance written by high level cyclist, who also happens to be a nerd. Good discussions of VO2Max (why it is not a good predictor of actual performance) and other physiological aspects of endurance sports. This is mixed with personal notes, which makes it an entertaining read. One of the things I remember is beetroot juice for recovery, as well as the emergence of pencilneck coaches. Good book, and laughable price for Kindle edition is a bonus.
The Vuelta de Espana is going on right now, and its a hellagood race. Seconds between the top bubbas, with Contador leading after recovering from his cracked leg bone in the TDF. Sucks it is not on TV on my cable.
