When I had to go into the office and wear biz casual, Northern Comfort trousers were awesome and I've got a pair in every color. Super comfortable, and machine washable/kept a crease nicely for a few washes before needing pressing. I'd imagine their khakis are good, too.
I haven't replied seriously yet but about ten years ago, I gained ~45 pounds and went through all my clothes. Currently, I weigh (far) less than the average American female and have entirely new clothes. Tailors are your friends and valuable resources. Find a good one and they can work magic.

I went to both Bloomingdales looking for the Jacob Davis straight leg jeans in the link, and struck out.
Thank you all for the suggestions. It seems Levi's 560s have been discontinued. But you know, fuck Levi's, since they shipped production overseas the quality has gone way down.
Maybe I should have mentioned that I'm a J Crew/Banana Republic kind of guy. I guess I didn't mention it because that would have really taken this in a faggy direction.
Speaking of which, no Shape I'm sorry but there will not be any underwear pics.
Levis still makes a lot of their jeans in America with Cone denim from NC. You're gonna pay though.
I had good luck with Levis Vintage Clothing, specifically the 1955 501 Shrink to Fit which are a little roomier than current cuts. Maybe a little wide in the lower leg though. They were expensive as fuck but raw selvedge should last forever. I've had them for like 4-5 years now and they still look new, though they've never been washed.
Lee relaxed fit. Cheap and fit well even with some junk in the trunk. When I got back on a steady diet of skwats and had to give up my skinny jeans, those and cargo shorts were lifesavers.
At the risk of getting semen on my mustache, are these good quality cargo pants/khakis? I'm really rough on my casual clothes, and if they're a solid brand and it's money well spent let me know.
Alternatively, are these just pants for wannabe tacticool bozos? Is wearing them going to label me as such?

We use them at my dept and they work well and hold up to abuse. I know you are a Canuck but I prefer the lightweight version pants they have. Good stuff and comfy.
I like the Propper pants for tactical wear, with the inset cargo pockets. Fit great.
But the Prana Zion Stretch are the schnizzle. Got a pair I've worn all over the globe. Kind of pricey now, forget what I paid years ago. http://www.prana.com/stretch-zion-pant.html

Nordstrom will alter jeans, and the sales person will bust their ass to make sure they find you a pair. Being short makes shopping for jeans tough. This has been my solution.
