This is a problem that will be around for our grandchildren. No quick fixes. No quick dash into ISIS-stan to smite the foe and move on.

I wish I could find it but I read 5-10 years ago that Europe wasn't reproducing at a sustainable rate and that someone (muslims) would fill the void. Spain was predicted to be minority Spanish in a generation or two.

That has been the way of the world from the beginning though as our aboriginal peoples would attest. It's one reason I don't get too stirred up by the Hispanic horde. Their RC heritage and Euro roots are a much closer match to our prime culture than Shariah types. A 50% -75% increase in border security combined with a dialed down social safety net for illegals and things would be much better. Alas, a Trump wall or an Obama open gate are the options we're left with.

I work with a shitload of immigrants and sons of and the Latin American guys are more like us than anyone outside the Irish.

Demographics can be killed off, science and technology make that easier. The planet could use less people , not more, so before we all have our various emotions about the idea of our descendants looking nothing like us, I could see the majority of the people left in the end looking like us. Presumably then, a temporary ban would stop or reduce cooperation from existing Muslims? Is that why Trump's temporary ban is juxtaposed with comments about Muslim cooperation?

Should we increase Muslim immigration to show our solidarity with them and further increase cooperation?

I'm genuinely curious what the FBI or LEO thought is on that.

I'm far from being a ME expert, but I observe:
1 - cutting off heads attracts jihadis
2 - WINNING attracts jihadis
3 - weakness & a power vacuum attracts jihadis (Thanks, Obama. Now we can retake the land we had already pacified. Good luck getting the Sunnis to trust us now.)
4 - The Caliphate (a Muslim land ruled by the Caliph) attracts jihadis.

I conclude:
1 - NO CALIPHATE! We can prevent this without committing 100,000 troops. They can not have a homeland.
2 - Press peaceful Muslim clerics to condemn Wahhabism and the Jihad. Make them walk the walk of the Religion of Peace.
3 - Surveil Mosques that inspire Jihadis.

For all the concern over ISIS and what-not, the fact that Pakistan has nukes remains my biggest worry. Along with the suicide bombing at the Easter picnic, there were lots of riots and protests in Pakistan the other day. Shit gets real when Jihadis who are willing to kill themselves get hold of a nuke.
