1. It is widely believed that The Apprentice show has tapes that are like the pussy grab tapes, but tons instead of pounds of it
2. The tapes are legally protected by contract with The Donald
3. That one woman who just came out with an accusation that she was groped on the show will sue
4. The tapes will be subpoenaed
5. Bowls of popcorn will be consumed as it all comes out, and The Trump brand burns to the ground.
NBC would burn too, which is why they'll never see the light of day (if they exist).

unless trump were to sue the times, which he'll obviously never do.

why would he make such an obvious phony threat?

re: 'you'd be in jail'

Even if you wanted to float the idea that Trump was cognizant enough to actually be saying she would be in jail because of the server, simply incapable of voicing a coherent though... she was cleared by the FBI. So you have a potential (lol) President arguing that he would have influenced/forced the Justice Department to pursue a case when it didn't feel one was warranted.

If you don't want to be that charitable, you just have a potential (lol) President threatening to jail a political opponent. He's picked up a couple of things from Putin, I do suppose.

Yeah, that's as low as he's gone, but it's not titilating, so it doesn't get a ton of play compared to other shit.
Trump's promise puts the spotlight on Hillary's dishonesty & illegal behavior, her major weakness with the Voter. Can't have that.
Trump's promise is what got Nixon impeached. Your suggestion lacks context as well.
Your comment lacks fact: Nixon wasn't impeached. Dumbass.
Yes, he quit first. My misstep was not saying "letters of impeachment." Keep paddling though. Keep paddling.

Do you find irony in that Hillary's personality is more like Nixon's than anybody since Nixon? If you liked Nixon, you'll love Hillary x infinity.

I'm picturing Nixon baking cookies now

The bizarre thing is Hillary is the one getting watergated. Think she won't be even more doubly uber paranoid now?

Agree with the comparison to Nixon. Not the Watergate one. There's no Wash Post, NYT, Chic Trib, CNN MSNBC etc etc ad infinitum camping on her lawn or bltizing us with articles. Maybe the NY POST, but they mostly for amusement. Their cover this morning is hilarious with HRC in a doughboy helmet at Bunker Hill.

The Russians hacking the DNC and then drip drip dripping the emails to influence the election is a pretty big deal, when you think about it. Stupid on the DNC for not using 2 factor authentication, but still...

The only good news in the cyber world came from a friend who works it. I said I hoped our opponents were as stupid as we were in protecting our stuff. His response was, "stupider".

The Gropees' timing is curious. All at once in October. And not one during the Republican convention.

And yet Hillary's acolytes are already talking about winning by enough for her to have a "mandate", which is lunacy.

There is no margin by which the second shittiest Presidential candidate in history can beat the absolute shittiest candidate in history that can be said to produce a mandate. She will still have a higher disapproval rating on election day than anyone else who has ever won the Presidency.

My opinion, it's the Access Hollywood tape timing that is the October Surprise. Kind of like the wikileaks releases, which have been mostly smothered by the SMELL OF SEX. Laugh out loud at Putin and Julian and their puny surprise. Welcome to big boy politics.

The women were the response to Trump's response. I mean, did you ever doubt Trump was a groper? His owning a beauty pageant always reminded me of Jerry Sandusky running children's camps.

As for the primary, the leaders didn't want to piss off Trump's fans, since they wanted those voters for themselves, once Trump inevitably fizzled out. Cruz in particular played the "Trump's my buddy" game too long.

But I mean Jesus, the Howard Stern tapes alone should have been enough during the primaries. Or that weird shit where Trump would pretend to be his own publicist while calling reporters. Or the birther stuff. Ugly infidelities. Letting Stern call his daughter a nice piece of ass. Trump University. All this stuff was during the primary.

I can't believe it took the Access Hollywood tapes to push him over the edge.

What I got from a cursory listen to Access Hollywood was that Trump was bragging that women LET him do anything...grab their pussy, etc. It's not sexual assault if you welcome it. Or don't object. And objecting twenty years later is suspect.

In male-female relations, consent isn't "Mother, may I?"

*****

Trump is a grabby pig. And I wouldn't want him near my daughter, although she would monkey-stomp the shit out of him if he grabbed her.

For sure. The only Dem Trump could beat is Hillary and the only Rep Hillary could beat is Trump. If the future of Amurikkah and much of the world wasn't at stake it would be funny.

Clinton Derangement Syndrome is going to be fascinating. You can see it here already.

Thing is, people have been trying to get dirt on the Clintons for 25 years and nothing sticks. Whitewater, Travelgate, Vince Foster insanity, Benghazi, e-mails - every time, there's no real fire to match the smoke you wingnuts are imagining.

Clinton is disagreeable in the sense that she's a moderate Democrat and a hawk - aka a Rockefeller Republican.

(As far as corruption, as I recall St. Reagan's admin still holds the modern championship - or did Bush Jr. eclipse him?)

I can't wait for this election cycle to be over because Trump is like having an ugly neighbor who parades herself naked in front of the window. I don't want to look but can't quite stop.

And when all is said and done, he either doesn't want the job or his ineptitude is beyond frightening. The thought of giving this guy power and responsibility is, well, unthinkable.

Still, this is a fascinating phenomenon.

I noticed there hasn't been a Muslim terrorist shooting in a while. That would help Trump so I don't think anyone will be activated by the CIA till December or after.

The hawk part of this is clearly true, and frightening.

The "moderate Democrat" requires you to assume that she's lying about most of her domestic platform, which I hope she is. She's running well to the left of the better Clinton. Despite her reputation as a "policy wonk", she's picked a feminist econ wacko with zero mainstream publications to lead her transition team, and she has a history of supporting crazy labor market policies. (She also has a history of saying things about gender discrimination that range from flatly wrong to simply misleading.)
