I Lost My Leatherman Wave...

Post by DrDonkeyLove »

...and am looking for something new to replace it. Whom better than this board to suggest a replacement?
Looking for:
•Smaller & lighter than Wave is better
•Knife blade one hand opening & locking
•Pliers
•Screwdriver
•A clip would be nice (so I don't lose this one)
•Durable but not expensive.

I got a Snap On multi tool that I like. Had it maybe a year and it stays in my pocket for all kinds of little jobs at work. ~$45 off the truck.
I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.

The leatherman skeletool is a decent no frills multitool.

Check out the Schrade tough tool. Not a a good as a leatherman or a Gerber but still not bad. Also inexpensive enough that you won't be too pissed if airport security confiscates it or you lose it.

Leatherman Juice XE6: small, sturdy, nice selection of tools... A must have for your EDC. No lockable blade, though.

I like the skeletool. I have a super tool and a wingman too, but I find the skeletool in my pocket more often now. The super tool is huge.

I do carry a small style when I travel... The tsa compliant one

I have an embarrassing number of multi tools stashed in various places in home and car.

My current favorite is the SOG SwitchPlier. It's not the smallest or the lightest, but it's well build and handy. It also has a dorky cool factor, if you like that sort of thing.

And a clip.

I have the Leatherman Wingman. Meets all of your criteria. Had it for several years and feel buck naked without it.

The Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver. It doesn't have a knife, but you still need to own at least one.

SOG has the best pliers of any multi-tool and they allow you to configure the tools however suits you. They also use standard driver bits.

No pliers, but I really like having the extra reach on the driver
