I was just going through a bunch of my old comic books. I have the entire series of the death of Superman. One in the anthology/big book they did, and the others in holders, not to be touched.

edit: Not like that's too cool, but they were the first comics I saw in the boxes I opened. Nostalgia or something.

The day I gave up comics, when I was maybe 13 (so 16 years ago), was a good day. I love 'em, but for now, the farthest I can go is the Crossed web series.

Too much of an addiction.

I just ordered a stack of hardcovers. All DC, all tie-ins to the Brightest Day (aftermath of Blackest Night) story arc. Love the story & how it's connected the entire DCU. After Brightest Day I'll start on War of the Green Lanterns, Flashpoint & FINALLY get into the tpbs & hardcovers for a few of the New 52 titles. My comic game has taken a back seat to my action figure/statue/bust game for a long time. REALLY looking forward to a lot of Geoff Johns' stuff.

Reading through Peter David's Hulk run-- I enjoyed it when it came out, and still like it.

I've intermittently been reading Preacher as well. Good stuff. How'd you like DMZ and The Boys?

Mostly Marvel stuff.
Amazing Spider-Man. Going to get 700 today hopefully. Avoided the spoilers online, looking forward to reading it on an OT shift tonight.
Captain America. The first couple since the relaunch have been awesome.
Indestructible Hulk. Not bad. I see potential.
I'm pretty much using the Marvel Now relaunch as a stepping stone to get back into comics.

That's what I did with DC's 52 reboot.

I picked up Hawkman(ruined by Liefield but he's gone so I'm giving it one more story arc), Legion of Superheroes(getting dropped soon), Frankenstein Agent of Shade(love it), OMAC(liked it but got canceled), Detective Comics(love it), Action Comics(love it), and everything involving the Punisher. Those all in single format but I also pick up random trades when I have the time to make the run to the store myself.

And please weigh in with your response to Amazing 700.

I liked ASM #700.
SPOILERS, BITCHES...

The artwork blew me away. The double page frame where Peter was in the afterlife or whatever was particularly awesome to me for some reason, but cover to cover the art was cool.
The way they wrapped up the story of Doc Ock and Peter swapping consciousness was pretty cool, but I thought it was kind of corny how just because Peter could impart the pain of losing Uncle Ben that Doc Ock suddenly does a total 180 and becomes "Superior Spider Man". It's a comic book, so a certain amount of corniness is to be expected I guess. Two thumbs up from me.
I'm eager to see how the story progresses and if Doc Ock starts fucking Mary Jane with Pete's weiner, lol.

It's weird that they killed Peter Parker, though. Doesn't seem right, 'nuff said.

I've got a spoiler for you, Butterpants; Peter Parker will be back.

Snarkiness aside---

I just read the first trade of Saga by Brian K. Vaughn. Two opposing soldiers become lovers, have a baby. They're are chased by both sides and bounty hunters, for reasons not yet clear, through a universe that become increasingly stranger. I hope the answers are as satisfying as questuions are intriguing. It's good funny book, so far.

Wolverine MAX any good?

Is it anywhere near as good as Ennis' Punisher MAX?

Nothing will ever be anywhere near as good as Ennis' Punisher MAX.

I picked up a few issues of a Nick Fury series by Ennis, "My Wars Gone By" or something like that. Fury dictating his memoirs. Korea, Bay of Pigs, Viet Nam – that last details how Fury first met Frank Castle. It's typically excellent Ennis.

Russian soldier leaves Afghanistan and takes his rifle with him on an odyssey thru America? Forgot about that series. That was awesome.
