Starring Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain. The film is written and directed by Jeff Nichols. Plagued by a series of apocalyptic visions, a young husband and father (Shannon) questions whether to shelter his family from a coming storm, or from himself.
Watched it last night and thought it was excellent. Cool storyline and superb acting.

I refuse to watch a disgusting movie where the father forces his daughter to perform oral sex on him while the mom watches.

@ logs onto Netflix and tells his mother he can't drive her to bingo tonight.

This was a really good flick. No superheroes, no shootouts, no car chases. Just a serious movie made for grownups.
It reminded me a lot of The Innocents (1961).
My only complaint is that it should have ended 10 minutes sooner than it did.

The key goes into the padlock. It clicks open. Roll credits.

My joking aside, this was an excellent movie. Loved the slow descent.
On a more superficial note, it introduced me to:

Finally saw it. Gives me hope that the voices in my head aren't full of shit.
Shannon is a great actor. The scene at the dinner was awesome. Her willingness to stay with her nut husband reminds me of Mrs Sandusky in my neighborhood, and others like her.
