Mak, you will not be disappointed...yes, there's some heavy racial shit but the storytelling is brilliant.

The finale did not disappoint. They could end it there and all signs point to they might just do that.

Re: Watchmen

I was working on a post about this so you beat me to it. I have been blown away by this series. The finale was last night...didn't watch it, but I will tonight. I'm fucking hypnotized by the whole thing. Finally something I can't ridicule Spells about except his ambiguous sexual orientation.

Re: Britain's secret cyber throwdown with Russia

Benny you seem a little wound up. Remember when you used to ask me to send you nude pictures of myself? I think I need to do that again...you know, help you relax. Hold on...check you pm in about 5 minutes. Just fyi I'm a little older now and the passage of time has not been particularly kind to me ...

Britain's secret cyber throwdown with Russia

Interesting read in the Atlantic about more Russian cyber shenanigans. Worth a read.

Mak is cracking me up. There are some things that are just inherently wrong. I don't know, say maybe murder, or thievery or robocalling. But just by way of the passage of time and the body politic deciding that something somebody did 20, 30, 40 years ago is now wrong...well, big yawn. Just fyi, I us...

Re: Antonio Brown

So explain something to me...I'm not trying to be funny...so when does a rape accusation come by way of a civil law suit and not an actual arrest and criminal prosecution? So you can just do that? I understand you can sue anyone for just about anything in civil court but I'm a bit confused here. So ...

Re: "The Boys" on Amazon Prime

I appreciate DewClaw's fascinating breakdown based on his six week film history course at Pigknuckle State. No one gives two shits about the writer's motivation. The fucking series is more than "okay". The comment about The Watchmen was a good one but DewClaw needs to use the pipecleaner.

Re: "The Boys" on Amazon Prime

It is extremely so Mak. And the Superman-like guy called "The Homelander" is an obsequious, deviant, sinister, creepy guy of the nth degree. Just think about it...what if Superman decided he wasn't about truth, justice, and the American-way and he was in it all for himself? Yeah, everybody figured o...

"The Boys" on Amazon Prime

So imagine a world with super heroes but they're celebrities that also belong to a corporation that hires our their services...and not all of them are benevolent and kind. Eight episodes. Don't any of you super-critics shit on this like you tried to do and failed on my other review. Shape gives this...

Get out of here with this shit...I realize besides everything else everyone is an expert at here in our diminished IGx world, cinematic critique is yet another thing along with national defense policy, grilling, spec-op gunfighting, and 3-card monty. Virtually any reasonable professional film critic...

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood...

Wife and I saw it on Saturday. We both totally loved it. Leonardo and Brad are aging well and did a superb job. There appears to be a little bit of fan-boy angst over a scene with Bruce Lee but I thought it was absolutely hilarious and we can talk more about that if need be. It's got Dan Inosanto an...

Bram, same...the wife and I started watching it last week. I saw something a few days ago that was critical of the series relative to all the smoking. Hilarious...we can recreate the past only so long as we avoid the vices of that time. Makes sense.

Re: Right now I'm drinking

I'm not much of a beer guy but I have to admit I'm totally into the Gose (sour) stuff. At first, about a year or so ago when I heard about it, I was like, no fuckin' way am I drinking that shit. Then my son said stop being a pussy and try it. So I ordered one and finished it. And then I got another....
