I went to party a CF box owner I know was throwing (I was hoping to hit on some sweet CF chicks, sadly they were all dating CF dudes about the size of my thigh). I showed up with bacon, gin and tonic (and no one got the joke). No one there had heard of the couch thread, there were girls that were doing kipping pulls ups and couldn't get on dead hang, guys that were doing 10-15 times more kipping than dead hangs.
I talked to the trainers about eliminating high rep box jumps since it kills hip drive and some one said "You just do like them cause they're hard". "Sled pushed are hard and I love those, high rep box jumps are just stupid".
About half the people there liked me, the other half hated me. Pretty typical for any party really.
Peaking is difficult, sometimes seemingly impossible, however, the alternative to preparation is losing.
If a 100m runner doesn't prepare, he doesn't run fast.
