Re: The couch thread
The only reasons I even log in to the Intarwebz at all are for hotties and lulz. @fit delivers both in spades, so play on, I say. Play on!

Apparently "The Sport of Fitness" is now a registered trademark of Da Bok. Wonder what this means for affiliates who have been using it? Who could have possibly anticipated this development?

Re: The couch thread
As lame as @fit is we could be better served with a bit more play in our training. I think some internet guru wrote an article on that recently.

Re: The couch thread
Not to sidetrack the conversation too much, but I really liked Garr Reynold's blog post (and the TED video w. Stuart Brown) on the topic of play: http://www.presentationzen.com/presenta ... -play.html
Everyone should be playing in the weight room on some level, especially if they're gym rats (i.e. training IS the goal).

Re: The couch thread
Yup. That's why I like ChaosnPains stuff. If competing isn't your goal, then personally I enjoy a shitload of heavy singles the most. In whatever excercise I want. If you're not competing, do whatever you like. Fuck what everyone else thinks. If you can do assfit without injuring yourself, and that's what makes you happy then go for it.

When Crossfitters and strength training collide....
A friend invited a Crossfitting buddy over to train with him. The Crossfitter hadn't bench pressed in a year b/c benching isn't functional you know....But the Crossfitter decided to jump in on a 5x5 bench session anyway despite my friend's warnings ....and he proceeded to tear his pec. LOL He quit the session to go to the hospital.
Silly crossfitters.

I can't believe someone was so accurately able to capture the ridiculousness of kipping pullups and actually animate it. Well Done!Hymen Asshole wrote:From our friends at WOD Toys

Re: The couch thread
First they were pissing themselves with pride that an actual NFL athlete did @Fit on his own accord. Then it turned out that it didn't turn him into Jim Brown and the @Fit community stopped bringing up his name.

Re: The couch thread
Ok..
First things first. the had a little SM contest there and after the contest was over, feeling so emasculated by seeing actual fat people stomping ass, they had a max reps burpee contest for members of the CF audience.
One guy did 275.
One woman who had also competed (flailed in the wimmins div) did 220...it took her almost 20 minutes. She would not stop.

Re: The couch thread
had some friends attend the @fit interlake bellevue throwdown. Apparently, 6 of the teams got lost on one of the wods that took them through the streets of Bellevue. Needless to say, the home team easily won the event as they were the only ones that knew the route. ](http://www.irongarmx.net/phpbbdev/images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)
