Pendlay announced she's part of the MDUSA team. I don't know if that means she moved there or not.

This is indeed some shitty music. Gayer-n' hell, too. This immediately came to mind when I watched it-

I kept expecting the Veggie Tales characters to pop up on the screen.

It's a shame. A woman winning the games with sound strength coaching would do wonders for Glenn and real sport science in the eyes of @fitters.

When I met her, she took instruction well, wanted to test her limits, but the douchebag held her back. I wonder when she'll realize that he's just using her for his own kicks.

Is she the gymnast?

Yes, but aren't they all?

I would love it if all the "I never worked out before" people would just come out and admit that "I never worked out before" means "I never played a non-professionnal or relatively advanced sport before".

I had someone tell me a few weeks ago that they were going to open up about a bunch of stuff, but held off. I don't know if this is the same, Jay.

http://www.strengthandconditioningresea ... /crossfit/

Some study looking at what happens when you take some novices and put them on Crossfit and paleo for 10 weeks. Results: novice effect + diet effect, so they lose fat and gain muscle. Yay. But 16% drop out from injury. 16%! In 10 weeks! From overuse injury. And this was with supervision and whatever. In fact, very good supervision:
All of the workouts were performed at a CrossFit affiliate under the supervision of a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and an ACSM certified registered clinical exercise physiologist.
Anybody here read exercise science literature and can tell me what a typical dropout rate for injury is in a 10 week study? Not just injury rate, dropout due to injury.

That'll get them an endorsement from the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine for sure.

I would imagine it's closer to 0%. I've never once seen it addressed.

But most studies they only do leg extensions and shit.
