Another talk that Huxley apparently gave around the same time (I’m struggling to find a copy of the complete transcript) is quoted more often, especially the following passage. Most online references state that the quotation is from a speech he gave to the “Tavistock Group, California Medical School, 1961,” though I am unable to verify this. At any rate, what he apparently stated in this speech strikes me as remarkably prescient:

There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution.

tell me isn't that's what happening these days.

It's worse than that, though. The power elite don't want us to be happy in our enslavement, bad as that would be. They want us to be miserable but unable to do anything.

i believe the following story is true. the guy dying from a rare blood cancer i cut off from. my friend in silicon valley has met the top guys at least briefly like Wozniak at least once. i believe he went to conferences of these guys in silicon valley with kurzweil check him out he is. a guy who thinks he will live forever good luck

friend says a top consultant guy has a meeting with guys wealthy enuf to buy property in new zealand when it all collapses
consultant says you guys better treat your workers well because they have the guns to protect you and work for you and could kill you
consultant tells friend. the super wealthy are so arrogant they don't understand even that

so how they smart are they. who has the guns in ameriKa. how we spelled it in the 60s
