50 Caliper for T.O.M. , Batboy, Shapecharge, etc.

Post by TomFurman »

While it was obviously a MOVIE, ,.. John Rambo in Burma,.. they showed 50 caliper rounds from a sniper hitting the bad guys.

Anybody seen the damage up close? Just a big hole or does it nearly slice them in half?

Or, is this one of those snarky IGxisms that I'm not aware of?

What? He centers on the sniper scenes when there is that magnificent orgy of cinematic gunpaly with the M-2 Machine gun!

That was a 50 cal. river next to those single shot cum shots.

The meat from enemy bodies sizzling on the barrel and receiver!

It's the emotional pay off for that scene where they are bayoneting kids and other horrid shit.

By the time Johnboy lets loose with Ma Deuce you really hate those fuckers.

When the ghetto sista assassins in Smokin' Aces fire with the Barrett from one hotel to the next it's like the guns from a battleship opening up.

Terrible movie, but it has it's highlights.

That video is not of a .50 cal hitting a human. I think a varmint hunter digiscoped/filmed rock chuck kills.

(Besides the fact that bodies don't fly through the air like that and that whatever was hit doesn't look human, another clue is that the spotter's scope doesn't have some sort of ranging reticle. It's hard to give the shooter corrections without it. But most hunters don't bother getting a spotting scope with reticles.)
